Learn more about the push for more sustainable and affordable construction as it relates to the ever-increasing need for educational facilities and how wood can play a vital role in fulfilling future needs through the use of modern wood construction, including mass timber.
Ask for Wood, Ask for Paper is a new project sponsored by Keeping Forests. This webinar is the fourth in a series that aims to arm the broader forestry community, including landowners, with information on the benefits of wood construction and the use of paper and packaging in all projects, which they can then use to advocate with local community leaders and decision makers.
This presentation will look at the current and future demands for sustainable construction of educational facilities and how wood can serve as a cost-effective solution that addresses cost, labor shortages, sustainability, and promotes the role of modern forestry. The use of modern wood products and mass timber offers potentials that are beautiful and effective in a variety of project scales ranging from small, early education facilities to large-scale University facilities. This presentation will show how wood was effectively used to overcome the today’s construction challenges and what the future potential can be.
