We discuss changing landowner objectives and how many objectives align with conversion. We’ll cover planting seedlings under an existing canopy and creating and planting gaps. Fire is vital when converting while retaining loblolly or slash and I’ll specifically talk about the transmission of fire through both thinned stands and through the gaps. We’ll wrap up with conversion scenarios and a few examples of conversion in action.
