This webinar will give participants an overview of the organic certification process, what it takes to transition, and the resources available to make the change.
Note: Since the recording of this webinar the USDA National Organic Program has released Guidance addressing Natural Resources and Biodiversity Guidance which is available online. The USDA Organic Toolkit has also been updated and is available at the National Organic Program website.
Participate in this training to learn about the primary requirements for organic certification. Emphasis will be placed on the most relevant conservation practices to utilize during the transition to organic, as well as the logistics for navigating the paperwork and procedures involved. The USDA’s Organic Literacy Initiative will be highlighted, as well as a variety of web-based technical resources for producers.
