Participants will learn about the history, purpose, regulation and policy associated with Conservation Activity Plans (CAP) in order to better utilize the available conservation practices and address the natural resource concerns identified on the client's property.
This webinar will describe the history, purpose, regulation and policy that frame and govern the use of CAPs. It will describe the goals set forth by USDA NRCS and define roles of various levels to ensure understanding and appropriate use of the available practices. The presentation will include a discussion of the responsibilities of Technical Service Providers (TSPs), producers, and NRCS staff. Presenters will describe how CAPs are incorporated into the planning process and define the programmatic requirements that must be met to offer financial assistance for the development of a CAP.
