Fourth in a series of webinars, January 2015 through May 2015, sponsored by the NC Forest Service Urban and Community Forestry Program. This webinar will focus on urban forestry emergency planning.

Damage to tree in urban areas can occur at any time, causing minor or catastrophic damage to other community assets or worse. Local emergency authorities, urban foresters, professional planners, community groups and arborists, all have a role to play in planning strategies to address damage before it strikes.

Webinar Guest Presenter: Connie Head, is a consulting arborist with Technical Forestry Services located in Commerce, GA. Connie is a certified arborist with International Society of Aboriculure. Connie is a wealth of practical information due to her hands on experience in basic tree care, tree board development, strategic planning, and the NC Urban and Community Forestry Grant Program. However, Connie's experience in the hurricane prone mid-Atlantic region, and the Mountain areas, is particularly valuable from a risk assessment and emergency planning perspective.
