Participants will learn the OSHA requirements for excavation safety along with general guidelines and successful practices for keeping people safe when working around excavations.

Most NRCS construction projects involve some amount of excavation. This work brings into play several potential hazards from rupture of underground pipelines to failure of trench side slopes. Instructors will present applicable OSHA policy and discuss practical methods for keeping you and those you work with as safe as possible.
