Providing access to technical information to USDA employees in a timely fashion is critically important to the accomplishment of the Department’s goal for providing leadership on food, agriculture, natural resources, rural development, nutrition, and related issues based on the best available science. The National Agricultural Library (NAL), physically located in Beltsville, MD, serves the technical information needs of its USDA-wide customers by means of DigiTop, USDA’s Digital Desktop Library. Using a computer or mobile device, DigiTop puts full-text journals, databases, newspapers, and directories at their customer’s fingertips. Disciplines covered in DigiTop are representative of the full-range of activities and services provided by the “people’s Department” as declared by President Lincoln in 1862. This webinar, an update of the NAL’s 2014 webinar, will describe the full range of services provided by the NAL and include live demonstrations for accessing and searching NAL/DigiTop resources.
This webinar is presented by USDA NRCS Science and Technology.
