Falyn Owens is the wildlife extension biologist for the N.C. Wildlife Resources Commission. Her work focuses on best practices related to human-wildlife interactions, including management and prevention of conflicts with wildlife. For eight years, Falyn has served as chair of the N.C. Beaver Damage Control Advisory Board and administrator of the N.C. Beaver Management Assistance Program. She also coauthored Best Practices for Managing Human-Beaver Conflicts in North America: Balancing Ecological Benefits and Human Interests (in press). Falyn holds a master’s degree in wildlife and renewable natural resources from Louisiana State University.
