Heirs property presents many challenges, particularly with respect to who owns timber on the land. This webinar will focus on how loggers and lawyers can work together to address timber harvesting issues on heirs property.

Heirs property is land that has been passed from generation to generation in such a way that multiple people can own the property.  This can be very problematic with forested tracts of land, especially when it comes time to conduct a timber sale and harvest.  On one hand, lawyers who often help heirs property owners may not know the details of how a timber sale and harvest works, while foresters and loggers often have little understanding of the challenges heirs property can present to conducting a legal sale and harvest.  This webinar will address this issue from both viewpoints:  that of lawyer, and that of forester, and will provide clarity on how these challenging situations can be navigated.
