Kevin Burkett holds a B.S. degree in commerce and business administration, and a Masters degree in Tax Accounting, both from the University of Alabama. Kevin has worked for Alabama Extension for four years and has been with Clemson University's agri-business team since 2020. Kevin delivers research-based programs to help landowners engaged in agri-businesses to be both profitable and sustainable.

Assistant Professor and Extension Specialist
NC State University

Dr. Kurt Smith is an assistant professor of forestry and extension specialist and works in the area of land retention for forest owners across the state of North Carolina. He works in both education and research to assist landowners in retaining their lands through tools designed to keep working lands profitable. Some of his current research and education efforts are centered on 'heirs' property awareness, and succession planning.
