This webinar provides NRCS employees and others with safety rules & regulations they need to be aware of; information about human response to electrical current; and types of irrigation electrical safety hazards they could possibly encounter in their work environment.
Many NRCS employees and others could find themselves in close proximity to electrically powered irrigation equipment during normal on-farm planning activities. Some employees as part of their job will be required to check out, certify, or spot check electrically powered equipment and its installation. Completion of this Part 1 webinar and companion Part 2 webinar of Understanding Irrigation Electrical Safety for NRCS Employees will inform employees of potential hazards and ways to protect themselves as they carry out their duties.
