National Water Management Center Trainings for A&E Firms who are acting as an IDIQ or currently have an agreement to develop watershed plans for an NRCS Watershed Programs project. Watershed Planning - Basics is the second webinar in the series of 11 that were conducted (in person) in Lincoln, Ne in 2024. There will be an update to this webinar in the future that incorporates changes to program policy in 2025.

Watershed planning requirements have changed in recent years with the NRCS adoption of Departmental Regulation (DR) DR9500-013 and the accompanying Departmental Manual (DM) DM9500-013. DM9500-013 and the subsequent Decision Memo of April 5, 2018, establishes that the Principles, Requirements, and Guidelines (PR&G) process applies to all watershed project activities authorized by the Watershed and Flood Prevention Act (P.L. 83-566) and must be followed in the development of watershed plans.
